The system is detecting tremendous attempt of fraud. The increased number of bidding is showing that. So every time system will reset the value back to last proper bidding.

Technically, it should allow Overbidding i guess, that way price will go up, and the one who still wants it, will buy it.

i still do not understand FRAUD term here.

please correct me, if i am wrong.

Fraud attempt is defined as any method that is used to purposefully increase the bid amount and thus allowing the mass silver transfers. In order to prevent the mass silver transfer system will put some restriction over the bidding that is trying to increase the bid amount to a larger value. Due to this we advise player not to put higher amount as bid, as it might be rejected by the system. So here what is happening is that, somebody might have tried to raise the bid to higher amount and system is resetting the value to last successful bid. The analysis method is complex and i don't have exact information how its done (but its basically based on the average market prize of that item).

I faced this problem a lot too.. Its really irritating.

If you need an item from auction- earlier you could just put a large bid and go to sleep ;-)

Now, especially for books of wisdom, one has to sit and manually do the bid every SECOND since the system has automatically started ignoring any over bids that are placed. IN some cases it even refuses to increase the bid past a certain amount so no matter how much you try and overbid- the bid amount remains same. IN such cases- the last person who bid wins since there is no way to increase the bid amount.

I understand the need for fraud protection, and that Travian probably loses money due to these frauds, but when fraud protection hampers game play, maybe we need to prioritize whether the amount of fraud happening is really worth the impediment being caused.
